Blue Shield members will receive new ID cards as a result of Blue Shield’s transition to a new Pharmacy Vendor, CVS Health.
Blue Shield’s transitions to CVS Health as their new pharmacy claims processing vendor, effective January 1, 2021. This change does not impact benefits, formulary, or the pharmacy network. As a result of this vendor change, however, all members will receive new ID cards (digitally or printed) reflecting updated pharmacy information, regardless of the group’s renewal date.
